This juicy Italian burger recipe is simple enough to pull off on any busy weeknight. Season with whatever BBQ blend your heart desires. Dress up your burgers however you like.
Ingredient
For the tomato sauce:
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 onion
1-2 garlic clove
400 g canned tomatoes
2 Tbsp ketchup
3 1/2 Tbsp water
1 pinch granulated sugar
1 Tbsp seasoning of choice:
- Prime Burger Seasoning
- Italiano Grill Fusion
For the burger patties:
800 g ground beef
1 Tbsp olive oil
4 Tbsp seasoning of choice:
- Prime Burger Seasoning
- Italiano Grill Fusion
For the pesto sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp (50g) any pesto sauce

Preparing tomato sauce:
Place a frying pan over high heat and add olive oil. Finely chop the onion, garlic, and add them to the pan. Add sugar, your choice of seasoning, and sauté them for 1-2 minutes until caramelized.
Add canned tomatoes, ketchup, water, and boil the sauce over medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes, until reduced. Set it aside.

Preparing burger patties:
Place a frying pan over high heat. In a bowl add ground beef, your choice of seasoning, and knead very well. Divide the ground beef into 4 pieces and add them to the hot pan. Press them well and cook them for 2 minutes. If your ground meat is not fatty, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Flip the patties over, spread 2 mozzarella slices on each one, and cook them for 2-3 minutes.

Preparing pesto sauce:
In a bowl add the mayonnaise, pesto sauce, and mix. Set it aside.

Assembling:
In a frying pan over high heat add olive oil, burger buns, and sauté them for 1 minute until golden. Spread burger buns on your kitchen counter. Spread pesto sauce over the top bun and the tomato sauce over the bottom bun. Put the burger patties over the tomato sauce, add the rocket, and cover with the top bun. Serve with basil, cherry tomatoes, and rocket leaves. Enjoy! ❤️
