Sauce - Dip
Japan
This recipe is our version of classic salad dressing that's super popular in Japan, and for good reason. You can put it on a piece of cardboard, and it'll be delicious. In Japan, often it's served simply on shredded cabbage.
Ingredient
3 Tbsp. Parmesan Herb Salad Shake
3 Tbsp. Japanese Kewpie mayonnaise, (or any mayo)
3 Tbsp. olive oil, (not extra virgin)
1 ½ Tbsp. Japanese soy sauce, (or any soy sauce)
1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
2 tsp. mirin, (optional)
2-3 tsp. honey or brown sugar
½ tsp. toasted sesame oil
Instruction
1
Add all ingredients to bowl and whisk to mix well and make sure the honey is completely dissolved.
2
Taste and adjust seasoning to your taste. You can also increase the mayo if you want something thicker and richer.
Note: If it's the first time you're making it I recommend tasting it with some actual salad leaves rather than tasting it straight up to get a more accurate idea of where you're at.
3
Store in the fridge and mix well before using. This should last for at least a few weeks. Enjoy! ❤️
