Ingredient
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium sweet onion, finely chopped (about 3/4 cup)
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 tsp little Italy Herb
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar (optional)
1 (16 oz.) package spaghetti, cooked according to package instructions and kept warm, to serve
Instruction
1
Add the beef and onions to a pot over medium-high heat.
2
Cook, breaking up the beef into very small pieces, until the beef is browned, and the onions are tender, about 6 minutes.
3
Drain off any grease, if necessary. Stir in the garlic and the little Italy Herb seasoning, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.
4
On the beef pot, stir in the tomato paste until well incorporated. Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and sugar.
5
Bring to a low boil, then reduce to a simmer. Simmer the sauce for at least 30 minutes and up to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
6
Taste the sauce and add the balsamic vinegar and more sugar, salt, and pepper, as needed . Enjoy! ❤️
