This French Onion Dip Queso recipe is rich, creamy and so flavorful. It’s easy enough to whip up for an afternoon snack, but epic enough to impress friends and family members at a party or get-together.
While tortilla chips are the top contender for dipping up this warm, creamy queso dip, there are several other options, perfect for (Potato Chips, Pita Chips, Pretzel Crisps, Baby Carrots, Celery Sticks, Cauliflower and Broccoli florets)
Ingredients
16 oz Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded (or any white cheddar cheese)
1 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp butter
2 cups onion, diced
12 oz evaporated milk
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp French Onion Soup Mix
½ cup sour cream
Instruction
1
Toss the shredded cheddar cheese with the cornstarch and set aside.
2
Add the butter to a large saucepan on the stove over medium high heat. Once the butter is melted, add the onion and cook down for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3
Add the evaporated milk and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any browned bits of caramelized onions from the bottom of the saucepan.
4
Add French Onion Soup Mix and cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted. Once the cheese is melted and the queso is smooth and creamy, stir in the sour cream before serving the dip. Enjoy! ❤️
